I think of creating a mask as a process rather than a product. The LifeMasking process is very relaxing and takes about 30 minutes to sculpt a Mask on a client's face.

First, the area to be LifeMasked is coated with vaseline or plastic wrap. Next, pieces of a plaster gauze material are dipped in warm water and smoothed over the desired area. This sets quickly and the LifeMask is lifted off. This foundation is fragile at this stage, so it is strengthened, smoothed, and prepared.

The mystique then emerges from the LifeMask foundation expressing the human spirit, a complex process. This may include engineering and sculpting, applying liquid metal and polishing, perhaps gold leafing, or incorporating gems or elements of nature... the planet is my palette.
